Shipping Rates for custom made clothing
made in Ghana
TeKay Designs has been subsidizing the shipping
costs by not passing all the costs to the customer. Due to the
rising costs of fuel, carriers are increasing the shipping cost.
Therefore, we are increasing the shipping costs for some custom made
clothes made in Ghana.
Our African clothing including embroidered
attire are made in Ghana and are subject to the shipping charges
listed below. Shipping from Ghana or the U.S. to a non U.S.
country may incur a higher fee. The website will display the
shipping and handling charge however we will notify you if the
actual shipping cost exceeds the shipping paid.
We regularly use the Postal Service for
standard (regular) shipping and FedEx for rush orders, priority
orders, and high value shipments. However, we have seen that FedEx
has a good on time delivery record with contents delivered in tact
usually within 3 to 5 days from shipment (excluding holidays). The
Postal Service usually delivers within 7 days from shipment
(excluding holidays) however delays are frequent.

Majority of our ethnic clothing are custom made to order based on measurements provided. We
generally do not carry inventory or have items in stock unless stated on our
order form or confirmed via
e-mail.

We use a variety of
fabrics of African, Oriental
and Western descent including
Adinkra symbols to make the vast
collection of clothing shown on this website. If you would like an
Adinkra symbol embroidered onto one of the garments on this website, please
send us an
email with the name of the symbol, the product id of the item you would
like it embroidered onto, location of the embroidery, embroidery color,
Size, and date to receive the item.
